Irish Folk, but i listen to most all genres. I enjoy Frank Sinatra and the rest of the Rat Pack. I get into some R&B with some Jazz as well. I like some good old Rock and Roll. I feel at home with some country. I get pumped up for my races with some Rap. I enjoy hitting the dance for with some salsa. But most of all enjoying a nice night at the pub with some good folk band.

Learning Gaelic: I can recommend a CD/ Book Course "Teach Yourself Irish", which is a good course for beginners to intermediate levels. Should cover more than just the basics...
I would definitely get a course with a CD to get used to the spoken language as well.
