About Me:
3rd generation Canadian with Irish, Welsh and English roots. Have been a fan of Irish/Celtic music for years but only recently realized how much it means to me and how it so resonates in my Heart and Soul at this point in my life -the rhythms, the melodies, the language, love it! Seems to have stirred my DNA a wee bit. Therefore, I have been researching so many artists and performers and it's mind boggling how much talent and great music there is coming out of, not only Ireland and the UK, but my own country, the US, and other nations around the world. And all the variations of the form that keep things interesting- I am overwhelmed sometimes. Being Canadian (and the only gay in the village!), it is difficult sometimes to find other like minded people who are fans of this style of music. Unless you're from the Maritimes or Newfoundland the only time you'll hear anything remotely Irish/Celtic is on St Paddy's Day or if you catch some live music at an Irish Pub, you have to look for it. For fun I write and record music, re-mix tunes and the like. Just amateurish, but not sounding so bad so far. I'm 45 and really enjoy this period of my life. Dealt with most of the bullshite and look forward to a prosperous and bright future, despite all the crap that's going on in this twisted world of ours. It's all about Peace, Love, Joy and Happiness. Let's wish this not only for ourselves, but for Everyone, even our enemies. Sláinte!! Seán ;-)
Favorite Music:
Irish/Celtic of course! I'm also a rocker at heart so like my dose of crazy guitars and manic drumming here and there. Big into electronic of all forms, house, jazz, guitar instrumentalists, roots, some bluegrass and a bit of country here and there (the good stuff- I am Canadian afterall and there is no way around not hearing country music). Anything Indie that is decent will always get my attention- most mainstream music is so like shite!
Currently Reading? (Books Magazines etc)
RedBranch, Pocketbook History of Irish Rebels, Malachy McCourt's History of Ireland.
Favourite Place?
These days, my bed! Also recently, Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia (I just moved from Western Canada to the East Coast).

Hi Sean, I am in the midst of sending in an application package to a company called "Bloodworks Iireland" I am a pediatric blood collector, and there is a demand. I have been told by co. they will give me a job! They have openings in Cork, Galway and Dublin. I am leaning towards Dublin, they have a big pediatric hospital. It will depend on where the work is. I plan to move in the spring. Very exciting, and scary as I do not know anyone. I am telling friends and family I am going for one year, but I actually hope to be so happy that I will never come back!

Thanks Sean, for the welcome. Yes, Alberta, it is time to say goodbye. Edmonton does nothing for me, time to move on. It is such a shame that it is cheaper to go to Mexico than to see our own country! I would love to see the maritmes one day, the people are fantastic! Hope you are enjoying the beauty of it...
