She is ABSOLUTELY amazing! I've taken my daughter to some of her "gigs", and we have a cd. I was actually going to mention it to her tomorrow to see if she minded me sending a copy over to LI! :) Why not?? :-p
I was born in Brighton and lived there until I was seven.(actually my first address was on Dudly St. in Roxbury but only for a couple weeks) We moved to Norwell and I lived there until I was 21 then on to California. I spent about 20 years in the San Diego area.
Ya, and the Irish language is alive and kicking, just gotta look around and you'll find it popping up everywhere. I'm not fluent, but I can hold a basic conversation and if I keep at it, who knows!

How do you know Cate?
Thanks for joining the Gaelic group. We plan to kick off the lessons this Monday so your timing is perfect.
Anyway, welcome and enjoy!
I'm a member of Irish Northern Aid here in SD-have you ever attended any of our functions?
We had Gerry Adams in a few months back-that's where the picture was taken.
Wife and I try to get to Ireland every other year or so-she has family in Mayo and I have family in Clonmel. (Tipperary). When we go we always stay over one night in Boston to break up the flight. I know the Grand Canal and the Irish Embassy pretty well! Had a pint there with your Mayor last St. Patricks' Day. (But i don't remember his name-or much else for that matter.)
But I love Boston-If I had to live anywhere back East-it would be there!

Are you a Sox fan also? I finally got to see them when they came to SD this year!
