Michael,

Thanks for you offer of friendship. I have Irish blood through an ancestor who was sent to Van Diemen's Land (now Tasmania) for stealing a shawl during the famine and also through another who migrated at around the same time. We have a strong connection with our Irish heritage here and am pleased that my children have reconnected with the music. It is my son's girlfriend who is one of the young ladies playing 'Down Longford Way' which is a Tasmanian tune. My son is in many of the other videos I have posted playing with the Blue Mosquitoes. In July they are going to have the chance to play in Ireland and I will also have the chance to return to the homeland of some of my ancestors. I look forward to hearing more about your interest in Ireland.

Regards,

David
