I'm the editor of four weekly newspapers headquartered in Milford, NH and have been since '96. A reporter and editor in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts and New Hampshire since 1966.
I swim, kayak, run when my knees cooperate, bike, love Jamesons but usually can only afford cheap vocka. Irish background — my grandmother on my father's side was Molly Toolin who married Ralph Cleveland, thus the British part (otherwise also German and Czech).
Family legend — after the war, a relative of Molly's (a cousin, uncle, not sure) fled Ireland for Israel so, the legend goes, he could fight with either the Irgun or the Hagganah until the Brits fled. Have no idea if it's true.
Married to Kathleen Farrell who is also part French.
Hi!!!
I see you have a nice kind of humor :o)
My name is not Kathy it is Sónia… But, don’t worry about it.
About the house-swap… well… I guess I could be more well served than Michael with the temporary exchange of houses. But, we have here all that you mention and much more. Montijo it is a city and it is near to Lisbon (the capital), we just have to cross the bridge (you have two bridges to choose),but I have a small and simple house with just two bed rooms. About the number of the people living here in Montijo… well... I never count them…
I also have a pussy cat, but she is less fortunate than your cats. Mine… the poor fellow, is conditional to the veranda of the living room… I cannot have her inside of the house, unhappily. But, she’s not complain and she is a very sweet and lovely cat.
We must not forget about the house-swap…but, let me think about it and then I will say you something, okay? ;o)
Nice to “meet” you Michael!
Take care!
Sónia
