The Discovery of Anne Frank

The journey begins near the river and the shack
The rain is light cold and soft,
peddling down a tunnel of puddles and crete.

Following the river it roars with runoff.
Riding past joggers and cycles, faceless and nameless,
Each with dreams of spring flowers and blossoms.

It rains harder, happening upon a memorial.
Bricks and walls a tribute to the gentleness of a spirit,
A spirit of the past, a girl of little rank.

Dismounting approaching a figure of copper and bronze.
Peering from a window,
A gray and green monster, she observes its slither.

She cannot cry, but God has opened his thunder
Rain tears appear on her nose and chin again,
Her pain evident, she cries for new hope.

The oppression of the defenseless, the suffering.
Her witness is not to be forgotten nor forgiven,
She cries once more for her people,
…all people.

"It’s a wonder I haven’t abandoned all my ideals, they seem so absurd and impractical. Yet I cling to them because I still believe, in spite of everything, that people are truly good at heart.

Irish Blessing

May those who love us, love us.
And those that don't love us,
May God turn their Hearts.
And if he doesn't turn their Hearts,
May he turn their ankles so we will know them by their limping!

Autumn’s Fulfillment

Autumn rolls upon my heart.
It breathes its life upon me.
I call out to its ever being,
I am fulfilled.

Its days are numbered
Living every as if…its last
An early rise and sleeping none.
Few tomorrows and enchanted todays,
I am fulfilled.

Its brilliance is deafening.
I embrace its rewards of vision.
My senses overwhelmed.
I am fulfilled.

When gone…gone for sure
I too wither.
I look east still waiting
It’s return eminent, but too long
To be fulfilled.

It was taken in a place near Novara (Northern Italy). I visited a friend of mine who lives there and he asked me to pose for him :D
I think it was around 6 p.m. anyway :)
