I was born in Belfast just after WWII and sailed to Canada on the Queen Mary. I've been back a few times mostly in the last 5 years. I retire on Dec 31, 2010 (yah) and plan to spend 2-3 months in Ireland every year after that. Maybe even return. I need to make quite certain because I can't afford to set up house here again. A couple of months per year will probably keep me pretty happy - seeing my friends and family.

I've run a home-based bookkeeping and accounting business for 16 years and have done OK but not great. I'll still keep a couple clients after I retire to pay for my Ireland visits.

I've been single and footloose for about 20 years and loved it but I'm at a place now where I want to find a suitable partner to spend my golden years with. I've signed up to one of these expensive dating sites with the idea that you get what you pay for. Truly in my heart I'd rather find a nice wee Irishman.
