- My last name is McGinnis, I am a full 1/2 Irish ... My biological father came over from Ireland with his parents. They had three boys. All three boys were adopted out when my biological Grandparents could not care for them. Two of the boys went to the same family. My Biological Father Joseph Samual McGinnis (changed to Adamson) and his brother, Ronnie McGinnis (changed to Adamson after adoption) ... when I got divorced I took my biological Fathers birth name. The McGinnis Clan is from County Down in Ireland. I plan to go to Ireland with my youngest son one day ... I would love to find some of my biological family members, if at all possible! Sincerely,
