Ron,
My wife and two daughters and I were fortunate enough to visit Ireland in 1995. The west coast is beautiful, the people are friendly, and it's just a great place. It's sort of neat to stand on the west coast and look west and know that the "New World" is out there about 3,000 miles. The views along the coastline are magnificent. We were not able to get out to any islands, e.g. the Aran Islands, but plan to do so on our next trip. Hopefully, Glenda and I will be able to go back maybe next summer or the spring after that. We went in March the last time, and were pre-tourist season. It was great!
so many castles, so little time.
Feel free to email me at markethurman@comcast.net if you want to. I will talk all day about Ireland. Have lots of photos, etc.
Mark, I noticed from your profile that you have an interest in living on the west coast of Ireland. I have been reading about some of the western islands, and I was wondering what attracts you to the west coast? And where in particular?
I have never been across the Atlantic. Kind of an old homebody out in the heartland (Missouri, Iowa, Illinois). It is on my "bucket list", though.
