- American artist (painter) who has spent a lot of time in Ireland, most recently 2 months fellowship in Ballycastle, Mayo. Tho non-Irish name, have Irish great grandparents on both sides. Love Eire music, people, country. Play guitar and banjo, want to get back there asap. Hope to maybe get a show there some day. Absolutely grieving what has happened to my country here over the past 7 years, hoping like hell that we (individually) wont be judged too harshly for what our government has become.

- Irish traditional and contemporary, any good acoustic music and hand made music. Have favorites in many genres. It just has to be good.

at the moment, no kidding, a graffiti phrase commonly being painted on walls is "ding dong the witch is dead" and Aussies were singing it on Saturday eve, we're a bent people sometimes!
I'm with you on trying to stay connected with Ireland too! (My ancestry is maternal Irish, paternal English and Welsh and Scots!!- those Celts sure got around.)
I envy your fellowship in Eire! Next time I take a painting trip there I expect I'll be paying my own way tho'.
