Hometown:
Houston, Texas
Relationship Status:
Engaged
About Me:
I am an old fashioned girl who is down to earth and loves Irish music! I also have come to appreciate that it's the simple things in life that make one truly happy. My family tree partially originates from Perth Scotland and parts of Germany. I think that I must have Irish blood in me somewhere! :-) I love cold weather so I am not sure why I am in the South but one day hope to travel to all of the beautiful places that my heart longs to see. I have made many friends on LiveIreland over the last few years and I treasure each and every one. I am looking forward to building new and exciting friendships this year! May God continue to Bless all of you.
Favorite Music:
I have many different interests in music. Irish music is what brought me here of course but I also listen to contemporary Christian and I love a variety of music from different cultures. A few of my favorites to include: Irish, Scottish, German, Greek, Italian. I love Belly Dancing music as well! I also love instrumental piano. My most recent discovery of AfroCelt has been quite exciting. I am enjoying it very much!
Currently Reading? (Books Magazines etc)
I am currently reading several Christian Fiction love stories ( Jannete Oke and Wanda Brunstetter to name a couple) and have recently gotten back into my passion which is poetry.
Favourite Place?
Well LiveIreland of course! In the real world, I would choose any place that would include all of the people I love and care for.

HAPPY NEW YEAR POEM!

I found this BEAUTIFUL poem and wanted to share it with all of my wonderful friends!

The New Year
Dear Lord, as this new year is born
I give it to Thy hand,
Content to walk by faith what paths
I cannot understand.

Whatever coming days may bring
Of bitter loss, or gain,
Or every crown of happiness;
Should sorrow come, or pain,

Or, Lord, if all unknown to me
Thine angel hovers near
To bear me to that farther shore
Before another year,

It matters not—my hand in Thine,
Thy light upon my face,
Th… Continue

AS I TURN 40

I want to say thank you to all of my LiveIreland family. As I turn 40...yikes, I choose to remember all of the good things that life has brought my way like friends such as you. I choose to only remember things from the past that taught me how to be wiser. I choose to move forward with confidence in knowing that I have people who love and care for me. I choose to show kindness and thoughtfullness to others and to appreciate the simple things in life. I choose to let God direct my every step. Tha… Continue

In Loving Memory

As most of you know our dear friend Leven from Live Ireland. She and her son received some tragic news this past week. Steven's father passed away on February 5, 2008. She asked me to let her dearest friends know. I know that most of you have known Leven for a few years now and she has become like a sister to me. This is a difficult time for her so please take the time to offer your condolences and your prayers would be appreciated. I have included a link to the Funeral Home which posts informat… Continue

The Light of the World

Christmas this year gave me a time to reflect on the real reason why we are all here. We all have our own beliefs but Jesus came so that we could understand who we are and are to become in Christ. His human sacrifice was given by God so that it could be the one and final sacrifice to save us all ( those who choose to believe). Jesus came once to die for us and will return again to take us all home to the place that he told us that he would prepare for us. Please read below and I w

Hi Lisa! Congratulations and best wishes for you and your new man for a happy and healthy life together! I appreciate the invitation to your wedding; but am up to my eyeballs here with the kids etc. and trying to get a job. I was in Florida when you had called, and was sick as a dog; we all caught the flu from my nieces son, 5 yr. old, poor kid! Anyway, I apologize for not answering your text!

Happy Happy Life Together! Best wishes to you!

I'm actually a transplant to the Mobile area. My wife is from Mobile and she went to Mobile Christian. Graduated in 87. She recently opened an Irish/English Tea Room in Mobile called "Shamrock, Rose and Thistle." You should check it out next time you're in town. Happy St Patty's Day!

sorry - I've forgotten one... please have a try on Jacques Stotzems Version of "Little wings" - he's one of the greatest finger picking guitarrists living quite close to me across the belgian border

Just dropped in occasionly - like your musical choice... lots of things, you say, I'd agree - so help me finding out, where my Irish blood has it's roots - maybe. we'll meet some day at one of the rare cold, not "over-krauted" places.. and 4sure, all the best for your future!
