About Me:
I enjoy riding my Harley on beautiful sunny days and sharing good times with friends and family. No kiddos but have two great nephews, and a niece. My Heritage is mostly Scotch/Irish and happy to have stumbled upon this site. Always had a love for celtic culture and hope to visit someday, but for now I will entertain the thought through this site, and music as my thoughts travel throughout the land wishing I were in Ireland. Soon to be pursuing my education and believe stretching the mind through education weather it is formal or learning an instrument, or developing ones self is to be educated. Anytime we work to develop our talents and abilities; others benefit. I would love to learn the guitar and might aspire to that someday.

Not sure if I"m soaring yet, but I'm pretty sure that I am off the ground. I have sent my first edits of their of first edits. So we are in the mode of back and forth. Though I think that Sep. 15 is the day the book goes into design. Also, I am having to start a new career while I am in the throes of getting the book stuff off the ground. I'm going to be working for American Republic as an insurance agent. The money will be good while I have to wait for the art stuff to take off. Plus the schedule I will have to keep is a lot more my own to control. It will be a lot of work but no more 12 hour days with only a few dollars to show for it.

Congrats on the Master's degree decision. That is very cool. If the book hadn't been accepted, that is where I was going to go. Meaning back to school. But life has a way of twisting and turning and it has led me away from school once again. Perhaps when my book ( hoping there will be books) are going well, then I'll have time to pursue a more advanced degree than I have. What will your Master's be in? And no, It can't be all bad, indeed it might even be the best thing ever. And don't worry about the leaps yet to come, just make one leap at a time, and that way it's not so scary or unnerving.

Peace out li'll sister.
And Pass the milk and them Oreo's.

Can't spend much time here or anywhere else because school is so demanding. Only four more weeks before break. There is so much to do during break that I try not to think about it just yet.

PS in rereading my last comment, I should have continued my sentence on flight a little longer. "You are so right, that it takes the first step, a leap of faith, and then free fall turns in to flight." And mere flight into soaring.

Have a great day.

Thank you Kara,
Sorry to hear that you cannot access the site, it is not forbidden on my end, I have put no restrictions on it and there is no content my little niece could not see, read, or listen to. So I don't know what happened. Perhaps if you click the link on my home page, I did try that just a second ago and it worked. Sorry you had that problem.

Some would argue that just being Scotch Irish is talent enough for anyone.

Thank you for your encouraging words. One of the very great things my folks have always said, is that they never want me to get into retirement years and say "what if....". They have always been great encouragers in this regards. You are so right, that it takes the first step, a leap of faith, and then free fall turns in to flight.

Passions, dreams, I do not believe they are random, I think we have them for a purpose. We must follow to the best we are able. They may not seem to lead anywhere, and they may never earn us the money we desire, but those that are touched by our pursuit of the dream, by our dream itself, will never be the same, and for them it is priceless that we have stayed true, looked fear in the eye and not become paralyzed by it, but instead stared it down, put it in its place and turned it into an ally in the pursuit of the dreams pursued.

I am glad you enjoyed the photos. I recently bought a digital camera and photo editing software, well the software was free on line, GIMP it is called.
I hope to have new images soon. Though for now, they will not be infra red, which is what most of the photos you have seen are. But they will be cool none the less.

Thank you again,
Well, I"m afraid the real world of paying bills is calling, so I must go for now.

I have greatly enjoyed reading your insightful comments. I do look forward to hearing more from you. I have sent a friend request as well.

Have a great day Kara,

Charles

Thank you Kara,

It is often a scary move. I have tried to stop at several points over the past few years for these very reasons. But you are so right, I have to follow where this path leads.

For the stories will not leave me be. I can no more stop writing stories, telling stories, being creative than I can stop breathing. I've tried.

But having come to this realization and having made the decision to follow where fate and destiny lead, does not mean that the way is not full of uncertainty. Thank you for your encouragement. That is so needed.

If you want to check out how this is progressing for me check out my website: Eadarian.com.
I have started a podcast network and have stories, poems, and info on coffee. Somehow all these do go together surprisingly well. I also have photographs I have taken posted along with prose and poems writen specifically for them.

I also just took a big plunge and bought a digital camera system, even though times are tight and I could have used the money elsewhere. But if I"m serious about this creative choice, I had to do so.

So I will be posting new art every month.

I have some practicle Ideas for turning this into income (this is one reason I needed the camera), but my first focus is providing my listeners with things they deem valuable. If I keep putting them first, and striving for excellence in all I do... I'm trusting that, as you said, the money will follow.

Am I rambling? I tend to do that sometimes when talking about what I am so passionate about.
Thank you again for your comment.

If you do check out my site, please let me know what you think. And feel free to ask any questions you have.

Have a great day.
Charles (am smiling very largely)

Hi Kara...
Thx for the nice comment on Joe McDonnell. I wish I could say I wrote it, but alas its not the case. It was originally written by The Wolf Tones I think... but I am really not sure.
