Hi Jimmy! I have been overdosing on hockey all season, and now it's the Stanley Cup playoffs! I find myself wondering if you're watching and what you think. I also find I have loads of questions about certain calls by the refs and wish I had you to act as my informed resource. :) I am staying up too late, watching my precious St. Louis Blues battling with those damn Blackhawks Today's game isn't going well for my Blues. :( I talk...make that shout...at the tv encouraging or hating on the players. I was out of my mind when Rupp (Minnesota Wild) took out my TJ Oshie (and was glad the rat bastard got a 5 game suspension)! Then just as David Backes got back from an injury, that bastard Seabrook took him out again! Aigh! A 3 game suspension was not enough!!! *mean face* I just love hockey so much! I even watch teams I not that crazy about. Are you sad the Islanders didn't make the playoffs?
I am so surprised that Tampa Bay Lightening was in the playoffs. Our poor Fla. teams just don't seem to play sell. I don't know why. The Lightening fell to the Canadiens. Embarrasing, BUT! I'm just proud they made it to the playoffs. So, let me hear from you! I want to know if you are suffering from FOMOH, like I am. Every night and every weekend it's hockey, hockey, hockey! :D
Ire land truly is a beautiful place. It is my home and birth place in mind body and soul. I live in CO but I plan to move there someday. Thanks for thinking so highly of my country. It really means alot to me.
I loved my flowers! You are so thoughtful! Shhhh! don't tell anyone, but I'm blushing! :-) Grazie, Belloumo!
I rented a Netflix movie recently that you might find interesting: "Veronica Guerin" with Cate Blanchette, about the enormous drug problem in Ireland in the mid 1990s. Guerin was a well-known reporter who investigated the drug trade and was murdered by the syndicate. Her death galvanized the people to do something about the 15,000 a day who were on the methadone program...some as young as 15. Within a week of her murder Parliament passed a law allowing the confiscation of the assets of those suspected of profiting from the drug trade.
Check it out if it sounds interesting to you.
So GLAD you liked "Micheal Collins!" I knew you would! I've missed talking with you. Tanks for the New Year wishes. I missed being able to tell you "Nollaig Shona Duit" at Christmas time, but I'll say it now. Don't you just love gaellic? :-) It looks nothing like it sounds!
Work keeps me from hanging out on liveireland, which I hate! But maybe I can make a change in the new year.
