Salut Jéssica Cara veut dire ami en français friend en anglais. Pour dire bonjour de manière informelle c'est Cad é mar atá tú

aussi en irlande du Sud pour dire salut en dit Conas atá tú

Hi Jessica ! i can surely help you in french to check for mistake.

In Gaelic i can speak some word maybe write a little but i cannot correct mistake yet. My learning of Gaelic was stop for a while because of my study of french litterature. But i will certainly continue this adventure of gaelic soon enough :)

HI Jéssica congratualation for welcoming the olympic games !

Hum... the gaelic language is really a fun language to learn full of mystery and beauty. I have written a article (in french ) about the gaelic.
i see that you have joined this group. It a great a way to learn it. Lot of ressource are availlable.

I can give some major word that we use here in gaelic :

like -Slan- ( meening goodbye) -Slainte- ( cheer ou health to you)
or Go Raibh maith agat. meening thank you very much. and so much more.

for the pronounciation you can see this website :

http://www.bbc.co.uk/northernireland/irish/blas/learners/beag1/lesson1.shtml

and talk with Robert Brady who have created this fun grupa !

Slan

Alex.
