Profile Information

Hometown:
Hartford, Connecticut USA
Relationship Status:

About Me:
I have been working for corporations as a salesman for too long while writing 7 novels and enough short stories for three anthologies. My favorite short story writers are Flannery O'Connor, W. E. B. DuBois, Twain, Edward P. Jones, Bret Harte, Katherine Anne Porter, Shirley Grau, O'Henry, Stephen King and Guy de Maupassant. I have read two novels a month since I was fifteen years of age. Recently I have been fitted for bifocals-- and my reading has eroded to two novels a month. I am actively trying to publish my writing and promise any editor or agent that my work is superior to most modern fiction. I have posted two short stories, Passing for ASP and We Will Save the World. The former revisits old forms of racism and the latter is a countercultural look at Woodstock. The stories I write are a weave of all the tales handed down in my family but wildly exagerrated. Please sample my stories and form your own opinion.
Favorite Music:
Opera(Verismo, American, Italian Grand, Czech, French Wagnerian and Russian), Oratorios, Baroque, Classical, Post Romantic, Some Minimalist, Jazz (Cool, BeBop, Swing, Delta Blues, Chicago and Dixieland), My favorite Jazz player is Fats Waller, stride pianist. New Age especially Liz Story, George Winston. Irish Traditional and American R&B. Traditional Irish Music is new to me but love Afro Celt Sound System. They remind me of the way we Yanks started Jazz at Congo Square in New Orleans and I can't wait for more Irish composers to bring the music forward while keeping traditional tonality. Bring it on!
Currently Reading? (Books Magazines etc)

THE SHORT STORY CORNER : CHRONICLES OF THE LIVES OF THE COME-OVERS

Land of the Free

The trip to Ireland for the O’Connell family of Simsbury, Connecticut, was winding down in the western town of Ennis. John O’Connell, the family patriarch, conducted the tour that included all of the Art Museums, antiquity museums and plays that Ireland had to offer and his issue could stand. Paul and Peter, John’s two sons, waited their time to play golf at the world’s greatest golf courses only to be thwarted by rainy weather which they could normally ignore in Irelan… Continue

Here it is :

or if you prefer :

January 27, 2009

Ottawa - The Can-Am League announced today that Ottawa's professional baseball club will operate with a new name for the 2009 season and beyond. The team was known as the Rapidz in 2008, and the League had recently announced that the team would be known as the Rapids for the 2009 season.

"We had a very successful contest to find a name for the team last year," said Miles Wolff, Commissioner of the Can-Am League. "With over 1,000 entries, our choice of Rapids was well-received. However, new ownership in May, a change in the name to Rapidz and the dissolution of the team in September, caused confusion and doubt in the Ottawa-Gatineau region. It became apparent to our management that a fresh start was needed, and a new name will be chosen."

A name will be selected in the next few weeks and suggestions will be welcomed at

ottawacanam@hotmail.com

until Friday, Feb. 6 at noon.

Ottawa will open its 2009 regular season at home on Thursday, May 28 against the New Jersey Jackals for a four-game series, before hosting the Atlantic City Surf for three games to complete their initial seven-game homestand.

No worries Jer! There is nothing for which you have to apologise.. All in all, jokes can take you away from the everyday routine... ;).. The situation here is something unusual .... The state faces the rage and the angry of the students (who demonstrate on streets against the irrational shot by the police) from the one side, and the mad, crazy etc anarchists who destroy everything without any reason from the other side.... Prays that the riots will end soon (and police will protect sufficiently people's properties at the future......)

simply google [eye exercises] frees stuff, no point in paying for free info. some vids on that search too. Depending on condition of your eye(s), sounds like just regular age issues. One key is you should if focusing in a stagnant gaze like a screen or book, it's important to work the depth perception muscles. Near and far rapid focus and reminding yourself to stop occasionally. Other exercise displayed as well.
