This group is basically for Irish folk music, irish Bands, Tour dates, News and information. Also including Folk Dancing and Singing.

For anyone interested in folk tales, folk beliefs, myths, etc., ancient and modern. Such stories and beliefs are often the portal to the heart of a people, a path to a better understanding of the past and ourselves.

Hopefully getting as famous as Ferris´ Irish Folk Musik group, I´m starting this group for everything about Irish language and poetry. For native speakers same as for the interested or appreciator in Irish poetry and language. Welcome !

List all the Irish Superstitions you know of and what is the meaning and origin i.e. what part of Ireland is it from, who did you hear it from, do you believe it and does it scare you or make you happy etc.

Its nice to Know your Neighbors. You never know when you will need of a Good Bodhran player from OHIO! The group is open to musicians from, residing in or traveling thru the "Midwest" & All the folks who love the music! Great spot to post EVENTS!
