I suppose that I'd be a citizen of the world even if my family wasn't Irish. I've loved my experiences ...meeting people, experiencing cultures from all around the globe.
Back to Ireland...many of my american friends think that they're Irish...especially around St. Patrick's Day, but have little in the way of a connection other than drinking to excess... lol I hope that your connection is fantastic...for whatever the reason!
Walls for the wind,
And a roof for the rain,
And drinks beside the fire --
Laughter to cheer you
And those you love near you,
And all that your heart may desire!
