Ed your trips to the Hospital on St Patricks day were phenomenal!!!
Too many folks just think of it as a beer fest. Im certain you made alot of folks very happy!
Yes the music on our site is ours. The Song you are referring to that you were listening to was Leather wing Bat.. I always introduce it on stage as "the first Irish song I learned as a child that does NOT have murder in it" which is no small feat! Our CDs are available online from Elderly Music in Lansing Michigan But you can also buy them direct from us. Cds are $15 plus $3 ship..you get $2 off as you are on my Friend list!
The song leather wing bat is on our Dark Irish CD... If you let me know which tunes you like on our site I can best tell you which CD you would like the best. Glad to hear you are enjoying the tracks..
its awful about your fingers I hope you are still able to make music!
As far as our CDs go.. yes we have quite a few.. 3 Irish 1 Americana Roots and 1 Christmas and 2 singles that are Cancer benefits and Zig has 18 CDs of just his music.
The best Irish CD of course is always the newest one.. Immigrant Heart .....However......we are in the studio for the rest of this week and next, turning out a BRAND NEW ONE which of course will then become our Best one! I need it done in time for the Mississippi Celtic festival.. we make the drive and perform there Each year and it will be nice to have something new for the folks that come out year after year!
We were just in PA.. we were in Meadville and Franklin. Im pretty certain we will be back through your state in late winter. HOPE to see you along the way!
Happy to hear you like the pics, we never run out of those!
On our recordings vocals and Guitar are myself and Zig's main instrument when performing Irish Music is Bouzouki, but I believe he has added tracks on some of the recordings posted with Mandolin, guitar..harmonica & percussion. zig Plays everything with a String plus more. I see you are considering a move to the country! always remember, our family members that made the trip over faced much bigger obstacles & somehow they made it.. we are still the same cloth.
I hope you are having a grand time on the site and making lots of new Irish Friends!
