I'm a retired teacher. I have been involved in sport all my life but an injury now prevents this. I grew up listening to Scottish and Irish music and played in a folk group. I stopped playing in 1973 to concentrate on other things (outdoor education). I am now revisiting my musical heritage and relearning guitar and mandola. I have also joined the Glasgow Fiddle Workshop who run lessons in a variety of instruments.
I february this year I started on the Bodhran which I really enjoy but I have a long way to go.
I have been listening to liveireland.com for a year or so and I thoroughly enjoy it. I often practice to your music
Douglas,
I fully understand the need to be brief when watching sport is involved. I enjoy rugby but am more of an Australian Rules Football and Football (soccer) fan. Hope the result went your way.
