- Hi guys,
I'm Dietmar living in Oberfranken in a small spot in the north of Bavaria, Germany. But actually my home town is Leipzig.
Quite three years ago I decided to learn English. For a opportunity to listen this language I was looking at internet for a radio station with an English speaking program. So by the way simply coincidental I found 'Live Ireland'. After two years as a permanent listener I try to get in touch with people who have a similar interest about the Emerald Island where I already stood five times. My passion for this island based on a experience from the late seventies. But this is an other story.
My hobbies are music and I'm a musician myself. But over the last couple of years I play music more for my own pleasure and for my friends. No time.
I'm also interested in photography. I like to read a fascinating book for relaxing. And I like a good chat with other people, best in an Irish Pub.
'So be easy and free when you drinking with me I'm a men you don't meet every day'. Or in other words '... you can meet every day' ;).
- Favorite Music:
- All kind of music that come from the heart. Jazz, Blues, definitely Irish Music. My favoured musicians in Irish Music at the moment are Christy Moore, Mary Black and Sharon Shannon. But I like many other music and musicians as well, from A like Joan Armatrading to Z like Frank Zappa.
- Currently Reading? (Books Magazines etc)
- 'High Noon' by Nora Roberts and 'Maria Stuart' by Margaret george.
- Favourite Place?
- Galway and the area around. I love it.

I have heard of a remake of that song from one of my favorite irish singer Hayley Westenra. in fact she's from Autralia but live in Ireland now, she got back to her root !
She sing Sonny, touching story of a mother who sing that song to her boy child.
she have a lovely voice.
I did not know this song was already existing in another format.

Bill Miller said… - Hello Dietmar. In regard to your question, a 81c filter is a Kodak filter that gives a warming tone to a color image. It had a combination of red and yellow. It was used mostly in transparency film and came in grades of 81, 81A,81B and 81C.
