Yes, I am Irish. I am a REALTOR in Southwest Florida and have lived here since 1980. Prior to becoming a REALTOR, I worked in health care for 10 years practicing emergency and intensive care. I maimtain both licenses, but am currently enjoying assisting people at a different stage of life. I am involved in local community/government improvement committees as well as a volunteer member of the Medical Reserve Corps.
I have been married since 1989 and have 2 children. My home in the city is haven to my family, 2 dogs (Shepherd and Lab) and 2 birds (Cockatoo and Cockatiel). Our country cottage estate is home to 3 beautiful horses and any wildlife that decides to visit. My family is a musical one. My parents owned a chain of music stores while I was growing up and we all can play just about anything. None of us chose it for a profession, but rather keep it as a treasured retreat.
My brother visits Ireland regularly. I have yet to make the trip, but hope to soon. A piece of my heart is there and I will not be completely happy until I go. My grandmother was a Quinn.
My best wished to you in your travels....
You're heartily welcome into the *Just Fiddling Around* group...!
If you're a fiddler and would like to upload some audio material, just let me know and we'll make it happen... ;-)
This is always great to listen to others playing.... especially from other countries...! Styles and manners varies...
Anyhow... I'm just trying to catch up a bit with the group... sorry for the late welcome..!!! (It has been crazy here... schedule and all... ;-) )
Best of the fiddling...! ;-)
Hi Cindy, my horse is white but that's got that way as she's aged, she is actually a pinto, I have photo's but not digital. She was a Roan Pinto in between a Skewbald and a Piebald, that's why she is called Miloh. I had other horses in my time, but have given it all away except looking after my old girl until the day she passes on. She's 27 at the moment and thinks she's still a youngen.
Nice chatting to you, hear from soon.
Thank you for the comment about my sense of humor. That made my day.
The book is coming slow but ok. It starts production in June. As for what I have decided to do, and I have to add this to my blog soon, is to wait tables for a while to simply pay the bills and focus on the storytelling business. One that the book is a part of and maybe the biggest part of, but we'll have to see. Can't give too much away just yet, but I hope to soon have a web site with online store and maybe even... well I'll keep ya posted. If you want to hear some of my stories, I have recorded several and posted them on my myspace page. That is: myspace.com/storiesbycharles
If you do go and listen, let me know what you think. either on my space or here. I try to add a new story once a month or so. and I think a new one is due most any day now.
Welcome to Live Ireland.
I noticed you joined the just fiddling around group. do you play?
I did try to visit your site, but it is telling me site not found.
