About Me:: I own and operate Hickory Bait & Tackle at Weeks Landing a small marina and Charter Fishing business on the southwest gulf coast of Florida. We're big into boating and fishing here. I'm a retired law enforcement officer with 26 years of service including 14 years in Vice and Narcotics in Miami Florida. Two tours as a United Nations Police Officer in Bosnia during the war in the mid 90s. Also 2 tours in Liberia Africa during their civil war in 2004 and 5. Burned out I dont do that any more. Now I fish and enjoy the peace of nature. Prior to that I did eight years in the U.S. Marines during the 1970's serving in a variety of areas in the world.
I have B.S. Dgree in Criminal Justice and enjoy reading, travel and of course fishing.

I saw your City Commissioner on the news today at President Obama's televised speech from Ft. Myers! She asked a very insightful question about the loss of revenue in Bonita Springs, from the loss of impact fees. Hope your business is thriving, despite the recession!

I loved your pictures of Ireland. I really liked the pics of the eagle and...were those hawks or owls on the nest? Being in South Fla. I see gators all the time. I see you have some pics of those too. I'm impressed with your law enforcement/military experience. I have a loved one who is a former Marine and ex-police captain.

Great photos! I wished I lived closer to Florida and go fishing there! The fishing is pretty decent here, but the time is the only problem. We have chatted a few times on LI and I wanted to say Failte! I volunteered for Bosnia when I was on Active Duty in the 90's.
