Wisdom you say Brad! Well should that be how a Irish girl survives living in Canada?? Or how she manages to stay in total awe with all the beauty here? There are so many wonderful things that keep me here, I suppose that is why I am decided to stay on another year........The spring is here and I can hardly wait to be in the wilderness this summer......Hoping to get more time in with the horses and do some outback excursions....and you still riding??? take care Slan

Nice to hear that you're familiar with the harness racing world. It can be a tough life for the horses which I'm very sympathetic about. Its one of the reasons why I've distanced myself these past 9 months. I've worked for some rough trainers. But I do miss the day to day companionship of the horses so I may go back to grooming till the horses here in Florida head up North to race. We'll see. The business has given me some pretty exciting times including a trip with 2 horses to Milan in 2005 to compete in the Orsi Mangelli. The horse I was looking after at the time actually got a 5th in the final!
I see you've changed your picture on your page, which horse is that? And I'd love to see more horse pictures!! LOL!!
Thanks for the friend invite too...

Hi.. This guy is a standardbred racehorse, a trotter. He is definitely big but the fact that I'm not the tallest person in the world makes him look even bigger, LOL!! I've been a racehorse groom for 15 years, have eased up the past 9 months to work as a vet tech in a small animal clinic but know that I need to get back to the horses full time again. I'm looking for a job with an equine clinic but may go back to the racetrack full time. Horses are my true passion.
Good luck with your mare. Has she ever foaled before? I've had the remarkable pleasure to assist with 2 foalings, one we almost lost. Had to go fishing inside the mare and pull the colt out myself (with help, he was huge!). The other one was "Gus", the horse in the accident picture on my page. They're amazing creatures!!!
