Bob Collins is a professionally trained and Certified Family Mediator, an experienced family and personal coach, a licensed minister, Founder and Director of STEP-Carefully! for Stepparents, a non-profit ministry for stepfamilies and divorcing couples, and a stepdad.
STEP-Carefully! is the largest faith-based support organization for stepfamilies in the world, and is based in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Bob has spoken on national television, on radio in various nations, and in numerous international publications teaching families ways to succeed. He is a respected public speaker and the author of several stepfamily guidance books, he directs STEP-Carefully! for Stepparents! programs, and his articles on stepfamily dynamics have appeared in local and national publications.
Bob teaches remarried couples (“stepfamilies”) how to build healthy new homes from past broken relationships, stepparents and stepchildren how to get along, and ex-spouses how to work together for their children's’ sakes.
As a professional domestic mediator, he is qualified to mediate domestic disputes for all family types, but his speciality is stepfamilies. Although his training is in both civic and family mediation, Bob's special area of interest is in helping conflicting couples - divorcing, separated, or remarried - to develop better ways of handling disputes and to learn methods to work together for the good of their children and their whole family.
