"Great initiative. We have many Irish who have played Gaelic football and even hurling who now play our great game of Australian Rules Football. Setanta Ó hAilpín now plays with my beloved Carlton Football Club. It is really important…"
The Michael Cusack Development Company, a voluntary body, was formed in November 2003 to commerate the memory of Michael Cusack.
Our key objective is to honour the founder of the Gaelic Athletic Association, remembering Cusack for the dynamism that brought the GAA into existence.
The work of the voluntary committee has todate included the restoration of Michael Cusack's original homestead and the
development of a visitor’s space where the Cusack story is told with research, archive and lecture facilities
Our project celebrates the memory of Cusack's achievements through cultural engagement, educational interaction and sporting development.
Great initiative. We have many Irish who have played Gaelic football and even hurling who now play our great game of Australian Rules Football. Setanta Ó hAilpín now plays with my beloved Carlton Football Club. It is really important to protect this cultural heritage. Good work
