Thanks Mary for your kind remark. This comes from a poem by Robert Burns, in the form of a letter to another poet. It has always been one of my favourite gems of wisdom. I see that you are going to see a Daniel O'Donnell tribute band. My wife, Sheila, is an O'Donnell from Donegal, in fact I am the only member of the family who has not met Daniel. He often comes to Arranmore Island, where we have a home, and his mother comes from Owey Island nearby, Dx.
