This a striking edifice, indeed..!! I am reminded of the ancient Celtic practice of displaying the heads of vanquished enemies over the doorframes of their dwellings. The progression of faces suggests (to me, at least) the legendary phenomenon of shape-shifting, a common belief among ancient peoples, the Celts included. Go ponder..!!
