Sandy, I will have to read more about the seige as I am very interested in the struggles in Ireland due to the fact that a number of political prisoners from Ireland were sent to Van Diemen's Land (now Tasmania) I am currently writing songs with my son about some of these individuals. One of these is being perfomed by his band for the first time tonight.

It is the ancestral home of my friend Skully from Cork. This photo is a stock photo from online, but he has sent me photos he has taken of Dunboy and the new "hotel" they have built. I have read the story of the Seige of Dunboy, plus was told some family stories about it. When I think of all the men who died here, I want to cry. The oppression & treatment of the Irish tears my heart apart.

Sandy, What in particular makes you want to visit Dunboy Castle? It is obviously a beautiful part of the world. Do you have any other connection?
