Wreath placed in remembrance of the Victims and Emigrants of the Great Irish Famine

Deputy Lord Mayor of Hobart, Tasmania, Alderman Helen Burnett places a wreath - a reminder of the disastrous Irish Famine and the victims and emigrants. The event was organised by the Cascades Female Factory Artist-in-Residence, Christina Henri. May 16, 2010. The St. David Cathedral bell ringers rang the bells from 2.00 to 2.20 in memory of the suffering endured, and the up rooting from their homeland, and the deaths of so many.
