Goodbye, Ocean Jewel

Our beloved Connemara pony, Ocean Jewel, died last Monday, April 7. We are heartbroken, especially since we lost our dog, Coho, to old age in January.

Jewel was just a few weeks short of her 30th birthday, and was healthy and happy up until a few hours before she passed on.

We will always remember her and sorely miss her lovely presence in our pasture.

I had put a video of Jewel on Youtube and someone commented to tell me that she had been born in a place called Cleggan, County Galway on Cleggan Farm. This person also said that the "Ocean" ponies, of which she is one, are still being bred there.
