Bill - Pandora doesn't seem to have this problem. Maybe the copyright rules liveireland works under are different. My daughter is in Dublin on a study abroad program right now, so its nice to feel more "in touch". However, I had to switch to Pandora today because of losing the ends of songs or experiencing the abrupt clash of two different musical keys as one song started on top of another.

Jonathan, Apparently its a requirement in some cases by the licensee to prevent home taping or in the case of internet radio stream ripping.

Relatively new listener in Detroit, MI, USA. Anyone else on liveireland annoyed by the automated music fadeout settings currently used? The current song playing and the previous selection as case in point. The end of the previous story wasn't finished before the current song began. This could be adjusted in the playback program settings and is particularly important for those wonderful Irish story songs. Yes, and another train wreck transition from the a cappella story to the flute piece - obliterating the end of the story.

Thankfully our vat is being reduced on many tourist items including accommodations, restaurants, theatres and Dublin Airport retailers making it easier for our friends around the world to visit us.

The reduction introduced effective from 1st July is dropping from 13.5% to 9%.

There's never been a better time to visit Dublin.

Just a note to everyone in the Chat. I know things have been very quiet as of late in the Chat and with live progs etc. This is due to both my work schedule and Bernard's end of year student interviews etc. Initially the intention was to kick start programming in June but I've decided to leave it until the end of next month as I should have more time and a new iPhone and Android app is in the making. We're running LI on a much tighter budget than before but we hope to the make the most of it in the comming months.

Thanks all for you patience.

Daithi.

I`m continuing to survive quite well although the medical  profession is poised to carry out a cardiac bypass procedure on me in a couple of months.
