Sláinte is a word literally translating as "health" and is commonly used as a drinking toast.

Listening via internet. Thanks for the great St. Pattry's Day tunes. Your making our train ride from Toronto to Cornwall, Ontario a lot greener. Just wish they served Guiness on the train! Would love to hear more of the Clancy's too.

One year, on St. Patrick's Day, we had put the last patron out the door and steeled ourselves to the task of cleaning up the Pub after a FIFTEEN HOUR celebration. Where to start? A bartender pushed the jukebox away from the corner and... and an avalanche of plastic beer cups spilled out from behind and engulfed his shoes. (Most of the cups were empty.) Another bartender said he knew what to do. He left the room but soon reappeared... with a snow shovel...

Can you explain me why someone is born Dutch while the heart is in Ireland?

Hope someday to move to the Island.

It's a darn shame. I was describing the East Side of Binghamton, New York. The Irish side. There used to be two pubs over there that had music on St. Patrick's Day. Both bars closed down - one because of fire. Without them, there is just no reason to go on the East Side anymore! Really a shame. (I could tell you BLOOD CURDLING tales...)

A grand day, indeed.  Thank you for the good music and  craik.

A request if you please ..... Tell God and the Devil by Solas. It's a pretty good song.

Lots of Ireland / Butte, Montana connections.

Again, thanks for the music.
