Hi Carol:  I am sorry to hear about Sarah.  Please give her my best wishes.

Happy 48th wedding anniversary - it does sound like you will have a lovely day.  Hope for you that it is sunny.  Maybe I will get up my courage and try Facebook.  I am just very private and shy.  Clare de Loon

Clare I miss our old chat too.  I am hardly ever on here to chat these days cause it has changed so very much.  I hope all is going really good for you.  Saras MS has really gotten bad.  Too bad there isnt help for her with stem cells.  But its still in the research stages.  Sara cant walk and has a mobility chair now.  She has Therapy that comes into her home now, both regular and occupational.  I chat with element once in a while as we both have Facebook like alot of others do. Why dont you come to Facebook too Clare?  Hugs to you and I miss all our chatters too like what use to be on LI all night....Hi to everyone on LI too!

Due to adverse weather, Klara can't make it from location today. Apologies. On next Monday 7pm.

Hi Daithi:  I would never expect you to be up all night Irish time and know you have day jobs, families, etc. - and I wish you all well with them.  I personally haven't used the old chatroll since about March.  I don't know if anyone else is using it. Maybe people could comment.  I have even forgotten the address of the old chatroll.

Jer:  Lovely to see you.  Could you leave times when you would be available to drop into the chat room?  We'll see if we can get some of us to come back in from time to time. For example, are evenings good for you, and what times?   Clare

Clare, typing this on my iPhone. Yes the old chat was the best. I see you still use chatroll :) The problem with the open chatroll system was that it took a heavy load of trolls and dangerous viral spammers. It was great that anyone could use it without membership and we could allow anyone to join. Unfortunately we were threatened by certain individuals that we were responsible for spurious links being put up by spammers. The risks were too great as a voluntary set up we couldn't monitor a chat room 24/7. I think it's unfair that certain members expect us to be here at 4am Irish time to instigate chat. As with the old days we have day jobs, family etc. If they want to volunteer moderation after hours and roster a 24/7 sheduale I'm all ears. I haven't used chatroll in a while and maybe they've updated their spam and bot policy. If that's the case I will run tests and see if it's feesable.

Hello Alan.  Nice to see you.  Not sure what a good time GMT would be for us all to chat but if I figure it out I will let you know.  Maybe people if they drop in could all tell us what time GMT is good for them to chat. (For those not in the know, that is zero hour in Greenwich England, better known as GMT (Greenwich Mean TIme) or more recently as TUC, or Temps Universel Coordoné, also called in English TUC, but known as Coordinated Universal Time.  But the new acronym is from the French.  We all measure back and forward from it.  For example, in EST in Toronto, I am GMT or TUC -5 (minus 4 in the summer with DST).

Left off my list of missed friends:  The inimitable and much missed Amanda, Russ and Charlene in Newfoundland, Don Lewis, Matthew Todd, Wyrd Wanderer, Greentia... and many more that don't come easily to my tired mind.  Please do say hello if you check in, and as Alan has suggested, give us times that would be good for all of us to chat.  Slan and slam!  C de L

So we are back to the old fun and games!!!! Live Ireland used to have the best chat, with lots of people on. I can't say "now" because I am not going to play the endless game of trying to figure out how to get on. How many times is it required to go to the lower right corner?????????????????? Yep, an' "bye"!!!!!!!!!!!!
