The Poem, the Gardiner's Grumble

My husband and I just returned from an absolutely wonderful vacation in Ireland. One of our stops was the Kells Priory. While we were there we took pictures of a poem that someone had engraved in slate and placed in the part of the abbey that was supposedly where the garden would have been. The poet's name was not included on the slate and it is obviously a recent addition to the ruins, one that is very tasteful I might add. I have not attached a copy of the poem as I don't want to violate any copyright laws. Unfortunately the battery in our digital camera died while we were there so we had to take a picture of it with our cell phone and consequently the quality of the picture is not as good as I hoped it would be and as a result there is one word I cannot decipher. I was wondering if any of you were familiar with this poem and could offer insight into its origin. It is a beautiful work that draws insight into the thoughts and daily life of monks who lived there during the 16th century. Any help from fellow Irish poet enthusiasts would be appreciated.
