Let's Hear it Detroit area!

How many Irish people are in the Detroit area and feel we have been left out of the mix? I want to know. We need some kind of big Irish festival in the area besides St Patrick's Day. There has to be some Irish decendants out there. Join up and let me know your thoughts. Also, I would like any homebrewers around here to join in also.

My friend and I visited the Baile Corcaigh St Patrick's Day 2009 to start out our day at 9:00a and was tremendously delighted with the whole venue. It is deeply disconcerting that such a wonderful Irish establishment has gone the way of the many businesses in these trying times. I am disappointed we didn't eat the Irish Breakfast there when we had the chance. I wonder if there would be any chance of them opening again in the future?

Well Hello...
There are lots of Irish in Detroit so why arent they on this site?
There was a Fabulouse Irish venue there that sadly just went belly up for lack of Support in the community called Baile Corcaigh on the corner of Trumbel and Bagley... shockingly with the Gaelic League Just blocks from their door.
They brought in Fabulous Irish performers and served a 5 star meal!

We bring in Irish and Scottish performers up to Saginaw and they perform at our Venue called THE WHITE CROW.
You should certainly come up for a concert night.. Tell them at the door that you are our Friend on Live Ireland and you will receive two dollars off your ticket price!

NOW I absolutely agree with you on the Festival Idea . I had mentioned that very though to Sharon of Baile Corcaigh myself just before they closed.. I think an irish fest is a great idea for that area and We would certainly be on board to help in any way we can.
I will put some feelers out again and see who seems interested.

We are hosting a Three day Irish Music Camp up in the Upper Pen.
at Chamberlins Old Forest Inn in Curtis in October.
This is Three Days of Workshops and concerts.. food, Lodging and Concert Passes all included in your fee and it is a beautiful location.
You can get more info on it by calling chamberlins directly! Space will be limited so Im letting folks know a bit ahead of time.
It will be a Great Time!

if you have any questions you can also just contact me directly here at the white Crow

Stay well
