I've been reading 'Celtic Myths And Legends' by Peter Berresford Ellis and really like the story of The Children of Lir.  I haven't finished it yet, but I'm having trouble keeping some of the charictures straight.

I'm finish up a degree in philosophy and a minor in comparative religious studies. I'm very interested in learning more about Irish mythology and folk tales.

Hi, I´m not Irish nor live in Eyre, but I´ve allways felt attracted to the Celtic culture (please don´t ask why, it just happens) You can find Táin Bó Cuailgne on-line here: You can also see If you are also interested on other culture, it´s a good place ti find good texts. It´s been my primary source of info when I lived in Cuba and I hadn´t much access to information.

Hope you enjoy it.

Hello Ron!
How are you?
Great idea Ron! When I came to LiveIreland I was expecting to find ancient folk tales, folk beliefs and myths and of course Irish music. But, I only find the music...
I made a search and find one site with Irish stories for children. I choose one that I already had heard and open a post on the discussion forum. Hope you like it!

I am a novice here. I enjoy folklore and myth, but I am not Irish (except, perhaps, somewhat distantly), nor have I even been to Ireland. Since this is an interest, I thought I would see if there are others likewise interested.
