We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Azalea Lodge in Dublin located at 67 Upper Drumcondra Road, Dublin 9. The rooms are clean and inviting, and the Irish breakfasts were delicious. It is located right on the bus line into town and the hosts Bernadette and Padraig Sweeney are thee best!

While we were in Kilkenny we stayed at Butler Court where Yvonne Dalton was our host and extremely welcoming and helpful in suggesting sites we could see. The rooms were very comfortable, located in the center of town

Anyone have any recommendations for Aran Islands, probably Inis Mor?
Comment by Anomaly on January 30, 2009 at 21:26
I've got a list of places to recommend, because I love the people who run them! I will definitely have to post the info later tonight when I have the time to hunt it down. Otherwise-- in County Meath & Galway, let me know if you need names, etc in the meantime!

Okay.....I'll start by saying we rented a car in Dublin from Avis. For 4 days it was 208.00 Euro or about $298.00. Here is the information:

In Galway we stayed at the Jury's Inn. We were there on a week night and it was 82.00 Euro per night for 2 people

Real nice Hotel....they also have one in Cork, Dublin and Limerick

While in Doolin, we stayed in a B & B called the Churchill Guest House. Maeve Fitzgerald the owner was real nice. I can't find the business card now, but when I do, I will post it.

I grabbed some cards that were recommended to me. Here is the information.

Just to help you, if you see any B & B with a Shamrock sign, that means they meet all the recommendations from Ireland's Tourist Board. They will all be great places to stay.

Hope this information helps.
