This year will be my first ruffed grouse trip. The only birds left on my bucket list after that will be ptarmigan and spruce grouse.  The problem: getting to Alaska to hunt ptarmigan looks expensive! two flights totalling $2,600!  I live in Georgia so driving isn't a good option. What to do....

I am a naturalist in Wyoming with a broad range of environmental and outdoor interests, including hunting, birdwatching, and horses. I am also fascinated by the mythology of the ancient celts, and the non urban sustainable culture that seemed to exist prior to the coming of the norse. So I am also an archeology buff. Interested in exchanging views with those of similar interests.

Hello!
I`m Pitti from Germany. I am a hunter and I am interested in the organisation of hunting in Ireland. In Germany you must prove an exam of the government before you are allowed to hunt. It is a hard job to learn all things about it. Fortunately I can go hunting in the woods of my hometown, just a view miles away from my house. Greetings from Germany.

Have hunted deer in Virginias National Forest since 1983. Weapon of choice Ruger RSI in .308 with Redfield 6 X. Thanks to the Scots/Irish Celtic music in the form of Blue Grass is alive and well. A great place to play the penny whistle, it eecchh eecc eecchhooeess.

Eso puede ser verdad para usted, mi amigo. Sin embargo, yo cazo para formar parte de la naturaleza y para comer lo que Dios ha proporcionado. La mayoría de los cazadores son esta manera. Ellos prefieren formar parte de mantener la creación de Dios en vez de destruirlo. La mayoría de las personas que son cazando en contra realmente no hace nada ayudar los animales o el ambiente (como cazadores hace). Ellos se sientan simplemente, lattes de bebida, y quejan de cosas ellos no pueden controlar y no comprenderse.

That may be true for you, my friend. However, I hunt to be part of nature and to eat what God has provided. Most hunters are this way. They prefer to be part of maintaining God's creation instead of destroying it. Most people who are against hunting actually do nothing to help the animals or the environment (like hunters do). They simply sit, drink lattes, and complain about things they can't control and don't understand.
