Grúpa na Gaeilge

This group is for all those who wish to learn the Irish language with me. I am not a fluent speaker but someone who is in the process of learning myself. It is my hope that we can become an interactive group so we can all progress together.

Dia dhuit, a Mháire (hello/God to you, Mary)

What made you think I am into reiki? Not me.

You got it all pretty well right. "Go mbeannaí Dia dhaoibh" is the full version of the common greeting "Dia dhuit/ Dia dhaoibh."

"Muise" is "indeed!" or "well!" It's also like "Now!" Notice the exclamation points. It is an interjection. "Well now!" pretty much expresses my intent. I guess "well crap!" works too. :-)

And you got the last line perfect.

But please don't take me as a fluent, or even proficient, Irish speaker. I'm just a beginning learner still. Maybe an "intermediate" beginner, but still a beginner.

Slán agus beannacht,
Séamas

So this was the first translation : The blessings of God to you all!
Well, crap. Maybe everyone is on vacation. LOL
But I asked for confirmation and got this:
"Muise" is like "indeed" or "well" ("Bhuel muise" being "Well, well" but I would personally say "crap" or worse.

Well I am still here and I went to a translation program to find out what you had said the paragraph before so I could reply. When they translated I wasn't sure if I should. I will go back and try and find it.
I see you are into Reiki.
