If I had a choice of another instument it would be the Alto Sax, or any other woodwind instrument. Being a self taught guitarist without formal training I have picked up a bunch of bad habits, I get by, but my techical ability suffers. With a woodwind instrument you have to have formal training, there are no shortcuts.
