Wow i just find and bought a really nice fiddle book from the uk.
it called mally 100 essential irish session tunes...

there jiggs and reels... much more easier than what i was trying to play...in vain... these song are really just for the fiddle so it really easier to play..

i will post some new song soon... ( in a month or so... )

Has anyone ever noticed that life is better if lived in the same manner as one plays the fiddle. Bow held loosely, full of rolls, triplets, and other various accents and with the occasional silent moment as you pause to rest?

Hello to everyone from Boston. I'm a new student of the fiddle and Traditional Irish Music (@ 47 Years of age). Since my involvement in this art, I've only met the most approachable and giving folks, including a former 9 time All Ireland Fiddle Champion. I'm sure there is some old crust out there, but I've yet to meet them... Anyways, so glad to have found this site and hope that my posting above, will be of help to Will Jamieson or anyone else.

Sláinte,
Stephen S.

If so, please let us know..! You could start a new discussion about it... (the green cross just above)
I'm positive that will be of great interest for many members, beginning with me..!

Thanks..!!!

Does anyone know of any websites that show the fundamentals of the Irish fiddle style?
