Here's an original retrospective song I wrote about a trip I took to Ireland at 22 yrs old. In a lot of ways, the Irish and their outlook, their wit, and their amiability influenced my perspective going forward in my own life, God bless! It's a Celtic Rock tune called "Ireland Forever", and dedicated to the memory of my fellow traveler and life-long friend, Michael Duggan. It sums the experience more in music than in words smile emoticon

Fiddle has been a mainstay of my musical endeavors for many years and is an object of love and "hate". OK, not hate exactly,  but consternation and frustration at times.

But this is a great time of year playing in Northeast US, as people look for "authentic" Irish music to book for their entertainment establishments. It's fun to intersperse the sing-a-longs with some jigs, reels, hornpipes and what have you, that set people's feet a-tapping. Live live 1/2 way between NYC and Boston, and there surely is an audience for the great traditional tunes ~ Love it!

Hi Mrs Sullivan,

I don't know this specific tuner... but from the specs infos I got, you have a chromatic tuner : you clip it to the instrument and there you go! ;-)

Now, if you want more details about tunings, you might want to dig into Discussion Forum... one is specifically about tunings, and it is called "Different tunings"... ;-)

Good luck... and happy fiddlin' around, and a Happy New Year to all the fiddlers and their close ones...!

May Good Health be yours, for 2014 and all the following!

Hello to all! I have borrowed a fiddle from my sis and intend to learn to play. She gave me tuner made by Cadine CT-03B, The only note on the tuner is an A4, how do I tune the other strings? Maybe I will go on Youtube as well haha! Thank ya!

Have been using a cheaper fiddle to learn how to play again but now I am ready to move up to a better sounding fidddle. Does anyone have any suggestions on what fiddle to purchase next? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated

Played the fiddle as a child and just picked it up a few months ago and teaching myself all over again, love it

Been away for a while with my PC in storage.  Now I can't remember any of my passwords and so can't access my mails, etc.

I want to share something with all my fiddlin friends  that has helped my fiddling enormously.   There is a program called INTONIA.  It has a free 30 day trial and is not expensive to purchase if you like it.

This program tracks your intonation/pitch on a graph while recording it.  You can go back and view the graph and see exactly where your pitch goes off and work on that specifically.  The graph line turns blue when you are flat and red when you go sharp.
