Hi i just realize, a couple of weeks before, that i have a Bodhrán. It not high class because it a vinyl and not skin but i can play !! I'm beginning to be good because i know how to play djembe also. I never taught that it was a real music instument, i had bought it because it make me think about how native people here in north america make music using this kind of instrument with little difference. I never use it because it did not know how to play with it. I saw in the touristic magazine Ireland of the welcomes that a irish folk was playing the Bodhrán. After i was mesmerize to know that i had a irish musical instrument without knowing it for years !!!
With this website i have learn the basic of Bodhrán playing.

Here the website : http://www.percuweb.ca/fr/documentation/aires/europe/lecon_bodhran....

Bonjour Alex,
Great to see that you are going to get some use out of your Bodhran. There must be a few local open jams that you can go to and follow along with. I don't get out to mine as often as I would like now that the colder weather is here.

Hi Gregory,

Indeed i was greatly (in the kind of happy ) surprise to learn to it a musical instrument. I'm learning on my own for now playing with music that have violin in it :)
Because i know how to play djembe it not that hard for me to play Bohdran then someone you dont know percussion at all...
I don't know if there a course to learn it in Quebec as they don't have much Irish thing here that is promoted in a regular basis...
But maybe i will find if i search a little more. ( did not search for a course... maybe i should )

Slan :)
