Irish Internet Radio and TV from Dublin, Ireland.

Going back as far as 1959, when traditional Ceili's were held in 4 Boros of New York City and great musicians were available, for the Council of Gaelic Societies, I've often wondered if these types of events are still being held anywhere in the U.S.A.  Also since there still are Irish Dancing Schools, Are they using traditional ceili's to encourage more interest in Irish Cultural events ???

Philadelphia Ceili Group in Philadelphia, PA  does nothing but promote music, dance, writing and gathering of the Irish in the city.  Check them out:  http://www.philadelphiaceiligroup.org/

They have regular ceili's and the dance clases held atthe Irish Center are run by internationaly acclaimed teachers, including Philadelphia's first Rose of Tralee winner.

Hi Felicia;  Glad to read that the Philadelphia Ceili Group is still active, I remember going to the Irish Center with Eugene O'Donnell, while staying at Mick Moloney's home whien recovering from heart surgery. Thanks for the information.
