Running for Charity

RUNNING FOR CHARITY
Friends, this year I decided to help some less fortunate than me, by signing up through a charity to run the New York Marathon! The Hole in the Wall Gang is a summer camp started by Paul Newman, for children with serious or life-threatening illnesses. I committed to raise $3,000 by Nov 2nd, and am halfway there!

Just had a look Ed. Its a pity they don't use paypal or something as the donation page itself doesn't even have encription for ccards???

Daithi, I'm not sure about the encryption part. I believe this site allows secure transactions for credit cards, but am not that tech savvy to be able to tell!

Daithi, I did confirm through the organization that this web site is secure, so there should be no risk in giving using a credit card. Thanks for bringing the issue up - we can't be too careful nowadays!

This is the text of their email response: "Hi Ed. The site is absolutely secure. The donation form page now has an https source, which indicates that the site is secure. Our 'SHARE' button was preventing any security indicators from being shown before, but this has been changed. I hope this helps!"
