What about Paddy-Yanks?

What happens when a bunch of Paddy-Yanks, all American, with Irish ancestry, who love Irish/Celtic music, give the tunes they love their heart and soul?  You get Smitty's Kitchen.  Will we ever win an all-Ireland anything?  NOT.  But it sure is rewarding to enjoy listening to those tunes we love in our album.See More

About Me:
Smitty's Kitchen is an ongoing recording project which started out as a weekly kitchen session at the farmhouse of Cynthia and Steve (Smitty) Smith. Our first album was recorded July 24, 2010, and released Dec. 14, 2010. Our second album is "on the stove". Visit our facebook page for updates, photos, music and info.

Favorite Music:
Irish, Scottish and really, any type of celtic music, as well as our own American bluegrass and folk. Classical music study has played a large part in our sound.

From Brendan White, the world-famous bodhran craftsman....I find it very well played and catchy to the ear....Make you want to listen again.

"Lovely, fresh music" ....a rewarding compliment from a fan in the Netherlands, via Jango Airplay.Facebook
